OUR LOCATION

Sandy Knolls Research is located in one of Canada’s most diverse crop production areas, located just off the North shore of Lake Erie near the quaint village of Vienna, Ontario (Elgin County).

The facility and operations are situated on 170 acres of level Plainfield loamy sand that is subjected to a unique micro-climate which supports the region’s Plant Hardiness Zone 6b designation and North America Field Trial Region 5b. Our field trials are primarily conducted on the vast sandy soil but areas of clay and loam can also be found at the facilities.

Sandy Knolls Research is fortunate to have multiple satellite farms readily available in two separate counties, Norfolk County and Oxford County in addition to the main facility in Elgin County.
